The History of Solely For Christ Ministries

Solely For Christ Ministries was founded and organized under the leadership of Elder Edward L. Taylor. On Wednesday March 12, 2014 we began having Bible study at 1010 Hutton Street (The West Salem Civic Club) A few people began coming to the Bible study and immediately, it was evident that God had His hand on and in this Ministry. People were being saved and delivered in the Bible Study. Sunday April 6, 2014 we had our 1st Inaugural Sunday morning Worship Service. Since then, The Ministry has taken off and have been doing great things! We began assisting with feeding the homeless with another outreach ministry, which birthed our homeless outreach program. We began serving dinner every Sunday after our Church Service to all that desired to come. Under Pastor Taylor’s leadership, the members expanded our efforts and have teamed with the Center of Hope homeless shelter with the Salvation Army in the summer of 2015. Provision was also made to have transportation for the Saints to and from services. Pastor Taylor continues to serve faithfully to the work God has set out before him. Solely For Christ Ministries has a short but rich history and we are excited about the wonderful work God will perform through us in the future.
